Our clients are seeking certified Special Education Instructional Aides that have experience providing support to children with behavioral and intellectual challenges within a theraputic day school in the Des Plaines, IL area.
IMMEDIATE and FAST STARTS
CLIENT'S RATE and SIGN ON BONUS
*Client offers $20/hr depending on contractor's qualifications, availability, and skill. Compensated weekly.
CLIENT HOURS:
*School Hours - Monday to Friday (7:3.0am - 3:30pm)
SUMMARY OF THIS OPPORTUNITY:
*Assist student in the general education classroom with note taking, testing, etc.
*Alerts regular teacher to any problem or special information about the individual student(s)
*Assist with student's participation in small groups of students as directed by the classroom teacher.
*Assist in checking and correction of papers and preparation of materials under the direction of the teacher.
*Assist students during activities including lunch and safely guiding on and off the bus.
*Monitor the instruction activities of the student and assist as appropriate or as directed by the classroom teacher.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
*Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalency
*Paraprofessional License or Substitute Teaching Certification
*Experience working with children with behavioral challenges, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or autism
