Our client is seeking certified Direct Support Professionals for developmentally disabled adults for our client with locations in Geneva, Elgin, and Bloomingdale.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide support that will enhance individuals' quality of life.
* Implement specialized programs in areas of communication, socialization, and behavior management.
* Assist with and teach independent living skills.
* Assist with activities of daily living and personal self-care such as toileting, eating, grooming, bathing and dressing.
* Accompany participants to various community activities.
* Maintain cleanliness of homes and ensures a healthy living environment for participants.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of one (1) year verifiable experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
* High School Diploma or its equivalent
* DSP Certification
* CPR/1st aid
* TB test

* Independent Contractors as DSP's can earn up to $18/hr depending on their qualifications, availability, and skills
